The idea for the Family History Preservation Society was a response to the crisis of Covid-19. We were thrust into an unfamiliar situation, with unfamiliar demands and challenges. It was and still is an uncertain time, with strange restrictions and a different definition of loneliness. Connected by technology we each faced a new isolation.
We are still bound together by friendship and family. By history and humour and the need to share our stories. Families recognise the richness of their narrative and see their struggles with fresh eyes.
By relating and recording recent or long ago events, we illuminate the times and people who made our families grow. Passing history and appreciation through generations. Drawing each other closer.
